Yes. When we were toddlers, we were in the woods and a lightning storm came up, so we hid inside a cypress tree. My dad came to get us and when he saw where we were, he whipped us good. I didn’t know why, but I never did that again.

When my house was struck by lightning (yrs ago) I could see it hear it and feel it at the same time…. It makes a crackling, tinney sound when you’re hit. Unmistakeable and memorable for sure 🤣

yeah different times (always NOT meaning to be out and trying to get back before bad stuff gets close) ... it reminds me of being out for walks when bad storms roll in faster than i expect ... i am out in the open but also "I cant shelter under a tree" at the same time
