🚨It's a pattern seen in many countries: left-leaning parties often favor more permissive election rules. 🇨🇦In Canada, there is no requirement to show proof of citizenship to vote in federal elections & photo ID is not mandatory. Voters have three options to prove their identity and address: ✅Option 3: No ID is required if another eligible voter at the polling station vouches for you by declaring they know you and confirming your identity and address. ✅Option 2: Accepted items include hospital bracelets, prescription bottle labels, utility bills, bank statements, student IDs, and many others - documents that non-citizens can easily obtain. ✅Option 1: Present one piece of photo ID issued by a Canadian government (driver's license) that includes your name and current address. Non-citizens, including permanent residents, can obtain driver's licenses in Canada. Former BC Conservative leader John Rustad highlighted serious concerns about voter list integrity during a 2024 press conference. He noted that in 2005, while serving as an MLA, his team cleaned the provincial voters' database by removing non-citizens, deceased individuals, and duplicate entries. Yet, before the next election in 2009, many of those same names had reappeared on the rolls. For the past 3 elections, CSIS and RCMP have confirmed that China has interfered in federal elections.
