‘Very drunk and wouldn’t take no for an answer’: Ex-girlfriend of Graham Platner goes public with shocking rape allegation * WorldNetDaily * by Joe Kovacs
Graham Platner
Graham Platner, the scandal-plagued Democrat running for U.S. Senate in Maine, is facing a shocking new accusation from his ex-girlfriend who claims he broke into her home and raped her nearly five years ago.
A report from Politico reveals Jenny Racicot revealed the incident to several confidants as well as her therapist at the time, explaining how Platner allegedly entered her unlocked home in 2021after she texted him she did not wish to see him and explicitly told him not to come over.
The Maine woman, now 41, indicated Platner was “very drunk and wouldn’t take no for an answer” after telling him “No, don’t.”
Platner is denying the allegations as “categorically false,” but has canceled numerous campaign appearances, and is talking about “the best path forward,” a phrase some political analysts say suggests the Democrat is considering quitting the high-profile contest.
“Regardless of the inaccuracy of the reporting but mindful of the political reality it will inflict, we are taking the time to reflect on the best path forward for the state that I love, the people that I love, the movement I belong to and the goal of defeating Susan Collins,” Platner said.

Katie Pavlich of News Nation noted: “If the accusation were false he would be fighting to stay in the race, not doing ‘reflecting’ or whatever this is.”
“Sure sounds like he’s dropping out,” left-leaning contributor to Fox News Jessica Tarlov said Monday on “The Five.”
Politico reported that Racicot “detailed the alleged incident to POLITICO in three interviews over the past two weeks. POLITICO also spoke with a man Racicot dated and confided in the years after the alleged incident, and reviewed documents, including emails between Racicot and her therapist and messages between Racicot and an acquaintance whom she warned against getting involved with Platner years before he ran for office.

“Racicot said she had an on-and-off relationship with Platner, who is now the Democratic Senate nominee in Maine, for more than two years before he entered her rural Maine home uninvited one night in late 2021, deeply intoxicated, and forced himself on her while she repeatedly told him to stop. She said she cut off contact with him after telling him the encounter was not consensual.
“I remember him grabbing my pelvis and being really forceful of me,” she said. “I remember the specific moment where I thought to myself, like, ‘This is no longer my choice.'”

Racicot was personally conflicted over whether or not she should go public with her story since she agrees politically with Platner.
“One of the reasons I didn’t come forward sooner was, the huge moral conflict that I had between supporting his politics, but not supporting him as a person,” she said. “I just want the truth out there. I just want people to have a whole scope of who he is as a person.”
The Platner campaign issued its own statement, saying: “These allegations are very serious and Graham vigorously denies them. They are also coached and coordinated by out of state establishment operatives. For a year, opponents of this campaign have thrown everything they can at Graham – calling him a Nazi, a war criminal, and a communist. None of it has been true and this is no different.
“It is not a coincidence that this story comes a week before the ballot deadline, just as the previous false allegations came a week before the primary. Graham began this campaign to fight for a Maine where everyone is treated with dignity and where Mainers are put first, and no amount of desperate smears will stop this movement from seeing that vision through.”
Author Mary Katherine Ham told Will Cain of Fox News: “This woman is also a liberal, so you cannot use that against her. She is risking her peace, she is risking retaliation.”
Racicot states she agrees with his politics. She lives in Maine and is risking her anonymity, peace, and possible retaliation to be on record telling this story. Platner denies this, as he denied @lyndseyfifield‘s accusations, but the problem with having a large, admitted… https://t.co/K0qYES1hQV
