An activist who worked as a spokesman in Barack Obama’s regime in Washington now has been fired from a job with similar responsibilities in Minneapolis.
It’s because there have been allegations of theft and fraud.
A report from the Washington Examiner identified the individual as Adam Fetcher.
He was a spokesman for the Obama administration during his first term.
Then he became the chief communications officer for the city of Minneapolis.
The report explained, “Earlier this year, he took a nine-week leave for treatment for a substance abuse disorder, before returning in mid-April, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune. Following his return, Fetcher allegedly stole cash, debit, and credit cards from three fellow city employees’ desks and purses and racked up hundreds of dollars in fraudulent charges at a tobacco store, including for Kratom, which is commonly used to treat opioid withdrawal symptoms.”

No criminal charges apparently have been filed yet, but the case documents have been turned over to the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office.
The case is “under review,” officials in that office said.
The report said Fetcher was fired on July 1 “amid a pending criminal case that could qualify as a felony-level offense.”
