‘Seems inconceivable’: Candidate for Congress blasted for pushing what amounts to a pedophile-protection plan * WorldNetDaily * by Bob Unruh

Colorado’s latest attempt to dethrone California as the state with the most extreme, untenable, leftist ideologies, agendas and officials involves a Democrat party pick to be the candidate for the U.S. House in the state’s 8th District.

It’s because Manny Rutinel, that candidate, is considered essentially to have run a pedophile-protection plan while in the state legislature.

And more.

It is an analysis done by the Free Beacon that confirms Rutinel “helped kill legislation that would have imposed mandatory prison sentences on pedophiles convicted of crimes such as having sex with child prostitutes and pimping minors.”

The report explained that scheme arose in a 2024 legislative proposal that would have required prison for adults convicted of such crimes.

“Rutinel joined his fellow Democrats on the house State, Civic, Military and Veterans Affairs Committee to kill it before it even made it to the full floor,” the report said.

The result was that the editorial board of the Gazette, looking into candidates to endorse, called him out for rolling out “a welcome mat for perverts.”

The actual impact of killing the bill, the board said was to “bring in people who sell children for sex and those who patronize them.”

The board warned, “Without this bill, adults who buy or rent child prostitutes face penalties that often result in little or no incarceration.” The anti-endorsement was titled, “House Democrats kill the bill against raping children.”

In fact, the report cited a case of a man in Commerce City, Colorado, Rutinel’s residence, who “avoided any jail time after pleading guilty to soliciting for child prostitution and a cybercrime. Prosecutors said Daniel Goodfield negotiated to pay for sex with two girls—one was 14—in online chatrooms, not realizing they were actually undercover investigators. Police were waiting for him when he entered a hotel room to meet them.”

Rutinel wants to unseat Rep. Gabe Evans, a Republican, in the district race.

“It seems inconceivable that elected officials would signal Colorado as a friendly state for adults to have sex with children – which is always rape – who are sold by foreign cartels and domestic sociopathic profiteers,” the editorial board wrote.

A prosecutor in the state, John Kellner, confirmed to lawmakers that the average age for a minor rescued from prostitution in the state is 13.

Another, different bill was pusjhed through Colorado’s legislature this year but it only suggests four-year prison terms.

The report explained Rutinel also is on record demanding taxpayers fund sex “change” processes for prisoners, his agenda to allow violent offenders to walk if they are “unfit” to stand trial for a time. He further attacked families by proposing orders for courts to consider whether a parent uses a child’s “preferred pronouns” when deciding custody cases.

Actually, evidence suggests so far that Rutinel’s primary accomplishments have been to try to tick off all the checkboxes of the leftist agenda.
