‘Loves Karl Marx’: Socialist Mamdani taunts the rich, demanding they pay their ‘fair share’ * WorldNetDaily * by Bob Unruh
Mayor Zohran Mamdani, D-New York City
Already, the wealthy, since they have the funds to do what they desire, have begun selling off their properties in New York City and heading for more favorable economic locations. Those departing include both residents, with their residential assets, and the much larger corporate conglomerates who fear Democratic socialist Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s tax and tax more agenda.
Now he’s taunting them.
On social media, the politician pursuing an agenda that aligns closely to communist ideals, threatened, “If you have a second home in New York City worth more than $5M, check your mailbox when you’re back in the five boroughs — because you’ve got mail.”
He said, “Today, we sent notification letters to property owners, letting them know that our new pied-à-terre tax is coming soon. The best city in the world deserves the best parks, libraries, and schools in the world. That’s only possible when we all pay our fair share.”

The New York Post warned that was just one of multiple plans by Mamdani to take money from residents.

The report said he is “hatching plans for months-long pressure campaign demanding a sweeping slate of state tax hikes — along with a renewed push to slap new levies on already burdened city property owners.”
“The full-speed-ahead tax push will kick off with a rally after Labor Day to apply maximum pressure ahead of the 2027 state legislative session and just as Gov. Kathy Hochul re-election campaign enters its final stretch, according to sources with knowledge of City Hall’s battle plans. The sources revealed Mamdani and his minions want Albany to deliver ‘tax the rich’ wins on day one of the next legislative session, with their still-in-the works demands including a hike on the wealthy and an expanded corporate taxes,” the report said.
The report said he’s even going after “black and brown New Yorkers” with his agenda for property taxes.
“Property tax reform has been a third rail for mayor after mayor because it is essentially a massive tax increase for many black and brown homeowners,” an incredulous Democratic insider said in the report. “The fact that Mamdani is looking to go ahead with this plan is just further proof that his base and his background do not understand the historic economic struggles of those communities, nor apparently care about their vote.”
A Fox report specifically cited Mamdani’s threats to the rich, pointing out that he’s already getting a reaction.
“As of Friday morning, Mamdani’s post had been viewed over 10 million times and conservatives on social media blasted the mayor and warned that the exodus of wealthy New Yorkers will only continue under this new plan,” the report said.
Never elect a politician who:
(1) sees your money as his slush fund,
(2) loves Karl Marx, or
(3) uses French words like “pied-à-terre” to disguise new, confiscatory taxes he wants to impose to redistribute wealth. https://t.co/8eUuexVEwN

Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, said, “Never elect a politician who: (1) sees your money as his slush fund, (2) loves Karl Marx, or (3) uses French words like ‘pied-à-terre’ to disguise new, confiscatory taxes he wants to impose to redistribute wealth.”
And Sen. Ashley Moody, R-Fla., pointed out that Mamdani, and “socialism” now are “Florida’s best real estate agent.”
“NYC’s pied-à-terre tax hasn’t even started and brokers already say owners are calling to sell,” GOP strategist and attorney Mehek Cooke said, in the report. “Empty units don’t tip [doormen] or pay supers. You’re not taxing the rich. You’re firing the working class that depended on them.”
Tom Fitton of Judicial Watch said, “Communist @NYCMayor celebrates a confiscatory tax targeted at a select few.”
The condescension towards the people who already pay a ton of property taxes to NYC. He thinks you’re an immoral person and worthy of mockery if you have a second home. “when you’re back in the five boroughs.” https://t.co/vL2Fzqo7F9

“The condescension towards the people who already pay a ton of property taxes to NYC,” Washington Free Beacon investigative reporter Chuck Ross wrote. “He thinks you’re an immoral person and worthy of mockery if you have a second home. ‘when you’re back in the five boroughs.’”
Civil rights lawyer David Pivtorak called Mamdani out for expressing “glee” in his threat.
“It’s hilarious that people will still refuse to admit he’s a full-blown communist,” he said.
