Police arrested a man Saturday for allegedly shooting a BB gun at cyclists participating in the World Naked Bike Ride in downtown Los Angeles, an event tided to so-called Pride Month.

L.A. police say a man dressed in all black and riding a scooter shot at the bike riders during the ride, which had hundreds of participants.. Two people were hit and treated for lacerations. The LAPD say the man will be charged with assault with a deadly weapon.

Collin Rugg commented on X: “This man is a hero.”

The California Post reported about the bike ride: “Staged out of the parking in Little Tokyo, the event transformed the area into a sea of skin of body paint, before riders set off on their eyebrow-raising routes.”

Noted one X user: “Seeing some of those people naked would kill way more people than a BB gun.”
