When San Francisco Giants pitcher Landen Roupp wrote a Bible verse on his team-mandated LGBT-promoting baseball cap, it was a reminder to the homosexual community and others that the Bible records how the rainbow is a symbol of God’s promise not to destroy the earth by flood again.

The establishment reaction was typical, with officials exclaiming that players can’t say such things.

After all, Major League Baseball claims, it is forbidden for people to write faith, political or other messages there.

Now Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., is grilling MLB commissioner Robert Manfred on what appears to be an agenda of anti-Christian discrimination.

Hawley wrote to the commissioner, expressing “grave concern over a reported decision to formally warn three MLB players ‘for publicly expressing their Christian faith.'”

“You must answer for what appears to be a pattern of discrimination within MLB against baseball players who profess their Christian faith,” the senator instructed.

He said citing rules barring writing messages on baseball caps “does not survive a cursory review of the league’s recent history.”

He cited the agenda in 2020 when MLB turned uniforms “into billboards for political and social messages,” including Black Lives Matter and more.

A report posted by the Washington Examiner said in the letter Hawley dispatched he is “seeking answers on why the professional baseball league threatened to penalize three San Francisco Giants pitchers who wrote Bible verses on their Pride Night hats.”

The report noted Roupp, JT Brubaker and Ryan Walker “walked out onto the field on Friday with ‘Gen 9:12-16’ etched on their caps in white lettering. The writing refers to Genesis 9:12-16. The passage is about God’s covenant with Noah following the worldwide flood described in the first book of the Bible. It marks the first recorded instance of a rainbow, which is also an LGBT symbol.”

MLB had claimed the writing on the cap “violates our rules and consistent with normal practice we have warned the players about future violations,” yet it hasn’t raised objections to the pro-LGBT agenda on the hats.

Hawley explained, “Your organization’s recent action follows an undercover investigation which revealed an admission from a Washington Nationals executive that a Catholic player on the team was not included in promotional materials for the team because of his faith. That executive has since been fired, but not before the anti-Christian bigotry was exposed.”

Others have cited the league’s misbehavior.

“Let me get this straight, [MLB] teams can host ‘pride night’ but players wearing bible verses is an issue?” Sen. Katie Britt, R-Ala., said. “Last I checked, freedom of religion was still one of the founding principles of our nation and enshrined in our constitution. This decision should be reversed now.”

Vice President JD Vance also has expressed concern about the MLB’s anti-Christion ideologies.
