U.S. Rep. Al Green, D-Texas, shouts in House chamber
Al Green, the Democrat representative from Texas, has a long history of unhinged behavior, as he’s previously been removed from the State of the Union for his antics, he routinely shouts down congressional witnesses and more.
He’s launched multiple failed impeachment schemes against President Donald Trump, including one that has been described as when “no one noticed.”
Of course, Trump is remaining in office while Green is being booted, having lost a primary in his own party by several dozen percentage points.
On his way out, he’s doubled down on his hateful rants.

A report at Fox, where the headline characterized Green as an “unhinged lunatic,” caught the spat.
Green himself ignited the verbal fisticuffs by suggesting that Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin was racist.
Mullin defended himself and Green barked, “Shut up.”
The situation has underscored the many times Green’s theatrical stunts against Trump and other conservatives have created backlash against him, the report explained.
The 80-year-old lost his primary to Rep. Christian Menefee, D-Texas, in the state’s 18th district.
He had been physically removed from this year’s State of the Union for displaying a sign, “Black people aren’t apes.”
When Mullin was answering questions Wednesday, Green said Mullin, then a senator, was one of the people who tried to remove his sign.
“A racist would depict people of color as apes. A racist would take offense at a peaceful protest. This was a peaceful protest, Mr. Secretary,” Green claimed, producing an image of the event.
Mullin responded, mildly, to the accusation, and Green erupted, demanding Mullin be silenced.
“Reclaiming my time. Ask him to shut up. It’s my time. Tell him to shut up,” Green charged.
Political commentator Benny Johnson noted, “This is the modern Democratic Party in one clip. Green’s response? ‘Shut up, up, up, up. Shut up.’ No respect. No argument. No facts. No substance. Just ‘shut up’ and a temper tantrum. This is all they have left.”

“Rep. Al Green (D) has a complete MELTDOWN, calling DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin a ‘racist’ before telling him to ‘SHUP UP’ Thank God this unhinged lunatic was voted out,” the organization said.
Media personality Eric Daughterty said, “Insufferable Rep. Al Green (D) just went on a BERSERK RANT and DHS Sec. Mullin took NO BS. Al Green just lost his House seat. GOOD RIDDANCE!”
Mullin’s notation? “Evidently, his constituents heard enough of him because they voted him out.”
