In a Christmas Day carjacking on a busy Seattle freeway, a man paced around traffic lanes before opening the door of a police car, tossing the female cop to the ground and taking off with her vehicle.

And some on social media wonder if a male policeman might have fared better.

According to TMZ, which obtained video of the incident, the crime occurred on Interstate 5. After the man hops a barrier and starts walking around on the freeway, a Washington State Police car shows up. Then the perpetrator stops, opens the driver’s door, yanks the female lieutenant out of the vehicle and pushes her to the pavement.

The man then gets behind the wheel and takes off.

After an intense police pursuit ensued, WSP officers were able to pin the car and take the man into custody.

Washington State Patrol Trooper Rick Johnson tells TMZ that the female lieutenant from the video was not injured and she will not be reprimanded for the incident.
