More Somali fraud uncovered: Watch man try to enroll 'son' in bogus, subsidized day care * WorldNetDaily * by Bob Unruh
Multiple Washington agencies have confirmed they are investigating the Somali welfare fraud in Minnesota’s immigrant community.
Evidence suggests it’s already cost taxpayers billions of dollars, and one study confirmed that those moneys, being directed back to Somalia, are likely the largest single funder of the Muslim terror group Al-Shabaab.
Sometimes the fraud was as simple as filling out paperwork to set up a day care, providing no building and no services, then billing the government for millions.
Now it’s gotten worse.
The verdict comes from Eric Daughtery of Right Line News.
He cited a visit to a location that purportedly was providing aid to children through a “day care.”
He reported online:
“HOLY SMOKES. Nick Shirley confronted more Somali fraudulent ‘daycares’ in Minnesota.”
“Somalis start YELLING at him. The windows are blocked out. The Somalis ‘don’t know’ where the kids are.”
“They EACH get MILLIONS OF DOLLARS!”
“I’d like to check a child into daycare!” Somali: “Why?”
“Can I speak to a manager? Where can I get paper work for my son?”
“Somali: *Silent* Another one… Somali: ‘There’s kids there.’ ‘How many?’ Somali: ‘I don’t know…'”
“And ANOTHER one… ‘Can I check out the day care center for my son?'”
“Somalis: ‘NO!!!'”

Among the Washington entities already investigating is the House Oversight Committee.
Chief James Comer, R-Ky., launched, then expanded work of Congress.
Reports say he is seeking closed-door, transcribed interviews with Minnesota officials, while also requesting suspicious activity reports from Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, along with a staff-level briefing from the Justice Department.
He cited Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, a Democrat, for allowing the disaster.
“It’s time for Minnesota officials to appear before Congress for transcribed interviews. Democrats turned a blind eye to this fraud. Republicans won’t.”
The fraud apparently revolves around multiple government social programs in the state, feeding children and such. In fact, one report explained that virtually every child in the Somali community there is autistic and getting aid for that reason.
The Washington Examiner said, “President Donald Trump announced last month in a Truth Social post that he was terminating temporary protected status for Somalis in the state. The president’s move came after a City Journal report alleged millions of Minnesota taxpayer dollars were stolen in the fraud scheme and were funneled to the Somali-based al Shabaab terrorist group.”
