The chief of the U.S. Border Patrol, Michael W. Banks, has posted a video comparison showing the condition of the U.S.-Mexico border along the Rio Grande around Christmas 2024 and then contrasting it with video from this month.

Noted Banks: “Just one year ago, our border faced unprecedented chaos. Today, thanks in part to the relentless dedication of Border Patrol Agents, we have achieved historic border security milestones and record-low illegal crossings. During this holiday season, rest assured that our agents remain focused on protecting the homeland. The border is closed.”

Indeed, even CNN recently admitted that President Trump has kept his campaign promise of closing the border, calling it “a story of accomplishment.”
