'You don't know what you're talking about': Watch Marco Rubio school network anchor on Iran's nuclear program * WorldNetDaily * by Joe Kovacs

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio got into a heated discussion with a network news anchor Sunday about American intelligence regarding President Donald Trump’s military strike Saturday against three of Iran’s nuclear sites.
Rubio was asked on “Face the Nation” by CBS News anchor Margaret Brennan: “Are you saying there that the United States did not see intelligence that the supreme leader [of Iran] had ordered weaponization [of uranium]?”
“That’s an irrelevant question,” Rubio responded.
Brennan said: “That is the key point in U.S. intelligence assessment. You know that.”
“No it’s not, Rubio replied.
“Yes it was,” Brennan insisted.
“No it’s not,” Rubio emphasized. “I know that better than you know that, and I know that that’s not the case. You don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“It doesn’t matter if the order was given. They have everything they need to build nuclear weapons. Why would you bury things in a mountain 300 feet under the ground? Why do they have 60% enriched uranium? You don’t need 60% enriched uranium.
Wow. Margaret Brennan thought she knew more about foreign policy than Marco Rubio.
She lost. Again.

“The only countries in the world that have uranium at 60% are countries that have nuclear weapons, because you can quickly make 90[%]. They have all of the elements. Why do they have a space program? Is Iran gonna go to the moon? No. They’re trying to build an ICBM so they can one day put a warhead on it.”
Rubio also appeared on “Sunday Morning Futures” with Maria Bartiromo on the Fox News Channel, and said “President Trump did the world a favor last night” with the strikes against the Islamic regime in Iran, adding, “They played way too many games, and now they found out. … They think they’re cute. They’re not cute.”
“They tried to play him along the way they’ve played every American president for the last 35 years. The President told them if we don’t get a deal, which is what we wanted, then I’ll have to handle it differently. And that’s what he did last night. He handled it differently.
“But that was an Iranian choice. We didn’t make that choice. They did by playing games with Donald Trump.”
This is a key quote from Secretary of State Marco Rubio on why it’s a mistake to not take President Trump at his word:

“They thought they could do with President Trump what they’ve done with presidents in the past and get it away with it, and they found out last night that they can’t,” Rubio continued.
“This is a president that tells you what he’s going to do and then he does it.”

When asked about potential retaliation by Iran, Rubio warned of a “devastating” U.S. response: “We retain options to deal with that.”
“In the end, we’re gonna judge them by the actions that they take moving forward.”
“What happens next will depend on what they do. They want to negotiate, we’re ready to negotiate. They want to get cute, and do things that are dangerous, we have responses available that are devastating.”
He said, “Iran will be held responsible” for military action by any of Tehran’s proxy groups in other nations.
“The only reason we have U.S. bases in the region … is because they are afraid Iran will attack them, and they want us there to help defend them. … These countries understand what Iran is, what the regime is. They get it.”
“I don’t like the [Iranian] regime, but we’re not in the regime-change business here.”
Regarding any possible Chinese complicity with flights leaving Iran for China, Rubio said: “No, we don’t have any evidence that the Chinese were involved in anything, other than perhaps trying to get Chinese nationals out of Iran.”
