LISTEN: The war is over
OPINION:
President Trump announced the end of the war with Iran, and said a peace deal was in the process of being signed. A day later, he announced the Strait of Hormuz would soon reopen and that the peace deal was in the process of being signed. But questions remain: Are we at war or not?
From Israel, the confusion is even greater.
“There has been a lot of mixed messaging,” said Simcha Brodsky, chief operating officer for Open Source Intel on X, from the ground in Israel. “It’s quite confusing to say the least.”
Perhaps the clearest messaging comes from Iran, and it goes like this: the IRGC still holds fast to its guiding mission, “Death to Israel, death to America, death to the West.” No matter what peace deal America signs, Iran can never truly be trusted.
