Steven Spielberg’s “Jaws” came out on June 20, 1975. To mark its 50th anniversary, NBC will air the shark thriller next week with an introduction from the director.

The movie and introduction will air on June 20 at 8 p.m. EDT and PDT, said NBCUniversal.

Starting Sunday, the movie will exclusively stream on NBC’s Peacock platform and will be exclusively available on Peacock through July 14.

Other movies in the “Jaws” franchise will also be available on Peacock.

Universal Pictures Home Entertainment is also releasing a “Jaws” 50th Anniversary Edition in Blu-ray and 4K formats, including a new documentary about the making of “Jaws” produced by Mr. Spielberg’s Amblin Pictures and National Geographic.

The movie’s anniversary will also be commemorated by three Major League Baseball teams. From June 20 to June 22, the New York Yankees, Philadelphia Phillies and San Francisco Giants are hosting “Jaws”-themed home games.

“Universal is home to the biggest movies in the world and it doesn’t get any bigger than ’Jaws’. We want to celebrate 50 years of this enduring film that has captured the public imagination for generations by bringing it to audiences at home in all the ways they love to watch,” said NBCUniversal Television & Streaming Chief Marketing Officer Jenny Storms.
