Priscilla Presley has just dropped a bomb about the late great Elvis Presley that is sure to shock even his most devoted of fans.

Priscilla And Elvis’ Affairs

Over the past few weeks, Priscilla, 80, has been busy promoting her new memoir “Softly, As I Leave You: Life After Elvis Presley,” which was released last month. In the book, Priscilla alleged that Elvis wanted to hire a hitman to kill her karate instructor Mike Stone after learning that she was having an affair with him.

Priscilla wrote that she initially began taking karate lessons “ironically” after she found out that Elvis was cheating on her with multiple women. She learned of this when she discovered handwritten letters to Elvis written by other women.

“When I turned the key in the mailbox, however, what poured out wasn’t bills or junk mail,” Priscilla wrote in an excerpt obtained by Fox News. “The mailbox was stuffed full of letters from girls. I finally held written proof of what I’d always feared, I was deeply hurt. But I was also furious. I called Elvis and demanded an explanation.. When that tactic failed, he resorted to saying the girls were all lying.”

“This time, though, turning the tables didn’t work,” she continued. “If Elvis was having affairs that were none of my business, then it was none of his business what I was doing. The close friendship that Mike and I had developed turned into an affair.”

Priscilla later opened up about this to Today, admitting that there were “too many of us” in her marriage with Elvis.

“They would go and meet Elvis at the house on weekends when he went, and it was another life,” she explained. “Now, he would come home great and wonderful. He was still a good husband, but it was just too many of us.”

Elvis Allegedly Wanted To Hire A Hitman

When Elvis learned of her affair, he was so enraged that he was tempted to hire a hitman, according to Priscilla.

“Elvis found the thought of me with another man unbearable,” she wrote. “In the weeks after my departure, he told the guys that Mike had to die. He even asked Joe [Esposito] to find a hit man.”

This was a reference to Elvis’ longtime road manager. Indeed, Joe was also famously known as a member of the “Memphis Mafia.”

“Joe warned me to be careful,” Priscilla recalled. “When I offered to bring Lisa [Marie Presley] to Vegas for one of Elvis’s shows, Joe advised against it. Seeing me might set Elvis off. Over time, and with a lot of persuasion from his father and the guys, Elvis gradually calmed down and gave up the idea of killing Mike, thank God.”

Priscilla was only 14 years-old when she met Elvis in 1959. At the time, Elvis was a 24 year-old serving in the Army in Germany.

Despite their age difference, Priscilla and Elvis hit it off. They married in 1969. Priscilla and Elvis welcomed one child during their marriage, the late Lisa Marie Presley. They later divorced in 1973.

Elvis ‘Felt Emasculated’

In her book, Priscilla claimed that Elvis “forced” himself on her when he found out about her affair. However, she also said that this wasn’t why she filed for divorce from him in 1972.

“I didn’t leave because of Mike Stone. And I didn’t leave because Elvis had forced himself on me when he found out about Mike,” she wrote. “Elvis had felt emasculated. He’d needed to prove to himself and to me that he could make love ‘like a real man,’ the way he imagined a karate master doing it.”

“Elvis made love to me forcefully, not forcibly,” she clarified. “His usual tenderness and consideration for me were missing. It was emotionally hurtful, and it left me with an unhappy memory of my last experience of sexual intimacy with Elvis. But it was not the reason I left.”

Priscilla has previously discussed her reasoning for leaving Elvis.

“I did not divorce him because I didn’t love him ― he was the love of my life, truly,” she said in 2016. “If anything, I left because I needed to find out what the world was like.”

Priscilla’s Burial Plans

Elvis sadly died of a heart attack in 1977. He was only 42 years-old. Though they were no longer together at the time of his death, Priscilla has remained devoted to the king of rock & roll in the decades since then. In fact, she plans to be buried with Elvis and their daughter at their iconic Graceland estate.

“When you stop and think about it, we’re not here that long. We’re not,” Priscilla told CBS News last month. “All of a sudden we’re older and we think, ‘Wow, I don’t want to hold on to bad things. I don’t want to hold on to, you know, things that are in the past that happened. I want to move forward.'”
