Jimmy Kimmel 'Feels Betrayed' Days After ABC Suspends His Late Night Show

Yesterday, we reported that ABC has suspended Jimmy Kimmel’s late night talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live! indefinitely over vile comments that he made about the assassination of the conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

Now, insiders are saying that Kimmel “feels betrayed” by ABC in the wake of his suspension. Indeed, it’s clear that Kimmel never saw this coming in any way.

On Monday night’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, host Kimmel falsely suggested that Kirk’s assassin was “MAGA.” In reality, the shooter was a radicalized young man who held far-left ideologies, according to investigators.

“We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them, and doing everything they can to score political points from it,” Kimmel said on Monday night.

The backlash against Kimmel was swift. On Wednesday, Kimmel was shocked to learn that he had been suspended indefinitely. He got this news mere hours before he was set to go on the air for his nightly program.

Kimmel ‘Feels Betrayed’ By ABC

Friends of Kimmel’s have since told Daily Mail that the 57 year-old comedian is “angry but unbowed.” He reportedly firmly believes that Disney, which is ABC’s parent company, caved to political pressure. These friends also alleged that Kimmel’s suspension came after he told Disney executives that he had no intention of issuing an apology for what he said about Kirk’s shooter.

A source close to Kimmel also confirmed that he “feels betrayed” by the suspension.

“Jimmy has always pushed boundaries, that’s what his audience expects,” the insider stated. “The idea that one comment could sideline him after everything he’s given ABC — he’s gutted, but he’s not sorry.”

As for Kimmel’s team, they are still in shock over the suspension. Many of them were even on the phone with publicists booking celebrity guests for future shows when news of the suspension came in.

“We are all shell-shocked,” one celebrity publicist told CNN. “Jimmy’s show is part of the fabric of ABC. Nobody saw this coming.”

Kimmel Producer Sounds Off

This comes after other insiders told Daily Mail that Kimmel was “absolutely [expletive] livid” when he heard of his suspension.

“Well now I don’t have anything to do, we’re shut down indefinitely. We’re all here and were basically wandering around like aimless cows,” said one Jimmy Kimmel Live! producer . “Jimmy is going to meet with the network now, and hopefully figure this out, but he is livid.”

“Absolutely [expletive] livid,” the producer added. “This is clearly the government overreaching. There’s no such thing as free speech in America, if the government can lean on companies to stop any content they don’t like.”

Not stopping there, the unnamed producer proceeded to attack ABC directly.

“And shame on the network for caving into the pressure,” the Kimmel producer ranted. “He didn’t even say anything that bad – but even if he did, that’s freedom of speech.”

“Jimmy said he’s going to fight this, not even because he cares so much for the show, although he does, but because he cares about the precedent,” the producer continued. “He can’t make a comment about Charlie Kirk?”

The Kimmel producer ended this tirade by issuing an ominous threat about what Kimmel’s A-list Hollywood friends have planned in retaliation.

“This is persecution, and Jimmy isn’t going to stand for it. And he has a lot of friends who are going to cause problems if suddenly he doesn’t have a show,” the producer concluded. “As [expletive] off as I am, you can only imagine how Jimmy is. He’s beside himself. I’ve never seen him this angry, ever. It’s bad.”

Kirk Tribute Show To Air In Kimmel’s Time Slot

On Friday night, a tribute show for Kirk will air on ABC in Kimmel’s time slot. It’s since been reported that Kimmel won’t be allowed back on air until he makes a “direct apology to the Kirk family.”

If Kimmel wants his show back, he also must make a “meaningful personal donation to the Kirk Family and Turning Point USA.” This is the organization that Kirk founded in 2012 when he was only 18.

Kimmel has yet to reveal if he’ll do any of these things in order to get his show back.

Conservatives in entertainment have been silenced for simply expressing their political views for years. Now, the liberal elites of Hollywood like Kimmel are finally getting a taste of their own medicine.

What Kimmel said about Kirk’s killer is reprehensible. Many would argue that in the wake of making those remarks, Kimmel has gotten exactly what he deserves.

Good riddance, Jimmy Kimmel!
