A video posted on X has caused uproar after it showed a man being confronted, grabbed and slammed against a garage door by ICE agents with the reason given it was due to his accent.

Chilling video footage posted on X shows a heated confrontation between what appears to be a group of at least four ICE agents and a man who they accuse of having an "accent."

The video, which has been viewed nearly 700,000 occasions with over 1,000 comments made at the time of writing, shows a lead agent with army-style uniform and covered face demanding papers from a man who is standing off-camera. When challenged over why he is being asked for his papers, the man receives the incredible reply, "Because of your accent."

When it is pointed out by the man that the ICE agent also has "an accent" which sounds on the video like it could be Latin American, the agent appears to lose patience, grab the man before slamming him towards a nearby garage door with his hands behind his back. It looks like the agent is cuffing the man in preparation for him to be taken into custody.

The Ice agents states in response to a previous question: "Yes you are required to." The he continues: "Look sir, are you going to do this the easy way or are we going to take you in?" The man replies, "You can not take me in."

The agent says, "Yes I can. Yes I can. You have documentation?" When the man states he has his documentation and asks why he is being asked for this, the agent replies, "Because of your accent."

The stunned man answers, "You have an accent too." Which only makes the agent more confrontational, he demands to know where the man is born before losing all control and shouting, "put your hands behind your back," before grappling with the man and swinging him towards a garage door and forcing his hands behind his back.

The footage outraged some on X, with users taking no time to express their disgust at what they were seeing.

Richard Angwin said, "This is straight-up racial profiling: ICE demanding papers from a US citizen solely because of his accent is unconstitutional, un-American, and outright fascist."

Brattani point out, "He didn’t like him asking the same question back !!!!"

Lance Whitney made a political point, "We can thank the Trump supporters on the Supreme Court for giving these thugs carte blanche to stop and threaten anyone they want."
