An NYPD vehicle was damaged Saturday night after crowds gathered near Madison Square Garden during a New York Knicks game, according to videos and reports circulating on social media.
Footage shared online appeared to show multiple people climbing onto and jumping on top of a marked police vehicle, shattering or heavily damaging its windshield as large crowds filled the surrounding streets.
The incident reportedly occurred near Madison Square Garden as fans gathered in the area during the game. No immediate information was available regarding injuries, arrests or the extent of the damage to the vehicle.
