Barron Trump looked very different when he attended the White House UFC Freedom 250 event over the weekend, which took place on the same day as the President's 80th birthday.

He was seated right behind his parents Donald and Melania Trump at a mixed martial arts event hosted on the White House lawn. The event, which featured multiple knockout fights, also coincided with America's semiquincentennial – the 250th anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1976. For once, people weren't talking about Barron's 6ft 7in height. They were actually commenting that the 20-year-old, who is Donald Trump's youngest child, didn't look as polished as usual.

While Barron usually towers above crowds, smiles and waves to cameras, he appeared downcast. One X user pointed out: "Barron is looking different... older, darker hair, slightly heavier, tired. I hope all is well with him." Another agreed, writing: "Me too. He's kind of carrying a brooding look." Meanwhile, others are concerned Barron has deteriorated over the last two years and insisted he "needs help". One spectator said: "My heart breaks for Barron, he always looks so serious and sad. The weight of the world and Trump legacy has been on his shoulders since he could walk, talk and carry it." Another commented: "Barron looks burned out." And another said: "I hope everything is ok with him. He looks sad." It comes just days after a lip reader revealed President Trump's desperate 8-word plea as he was brutally booed at the New York Knicks game.

Barron is currently attending NYU's Stern School of Business, so he doesn't make public appearances regularly like other members of the Trump family.

However, he stepped slightly more into the public eye during his father's 2024 Presidential campaign. In recent years, he's been pictured attending the inaugural parade inside Capital One Arena and even gesturing to cheering crowds.

Barron wore a sharp suit and tie as he boldly raised his fist into the air in January, 2025. His hair was slicked back, and he appeared to stare directly down the lenses of the photographer's flashing cameras.

He also attended the White House Correspondents' Dinner in April and the State of the Union address in February. However, he definitely didn't seem as enthusiastic as usual over the weekend.

Barron swapped his slicked-back hair for loose curls and kept his shirt open at the front. He also seemed to take a back seat, not posing for photos or interacting much with the crowds.

While Barron made quite an understated appearance, his father, Donald, is never one to shy away from attention. In contrast, the President was spotted shaking hands with the fighters and soaking in the atmosphere during the flashy event.
