Strict mom Melania Trump has reportedly threatened Mar-a-Lago club members with expulsion if they invade her son's privacy, says gossip columnist Rob Shuter.

In a post on his Substack, Shuter writes that a source says that Melania is trying to take swift action after photos of 19-year-old Barron in the club's dining area hit the internet. Though Barron is a college student enrolled at NYU, he has switched from the NYC campus to Washington DC to be closer to home - and Melania's mama bear attitude, according to reports.

“Melania made it very clear that Barron’s privacy is non-negotiable,” says Shutner's Naughty But Nice Substack. "Anyone caught filming or taking pictures would face immediate consequences, including potential banning from the club."

Pictures and videos did hit the internet over the holiday season of Barron, notably towering over his father with his 6'9 height, following his father into the dining room at their Florida resort home of Mar-a-lago.
However, people who leaked the footage were apparently warned: "no cameras, no leaks" and told, "private family moments stay private."
Barron is Melania's only child. The sophomore, despite being constantly surrounded by Secret Service guards, is reportedly managing to "keep his head down" amid the global spotlight on him while attending school - first in NYC and then on NYU's campus closer to the White House.
Barron's mum, Melania, has consistently expressed her and Trump's commitment to being present for their son. In a 2015 conversation with People, Melania emphasised her parenting approach: "I like to be hands-on. I think it's very important. Barron is nine years old. He needs somebody as a parent there, so I am with him all the time. As you know, my husband is travelling all the time."

Previously, the Mirror reported that the First Lady has been intensely focused on Barron, monitoring his friendships and general welfare during his time at New York University's Stern School of Business, a political insider disclosed to People.
"Melania watches Barron constantly in an effort to be sure nobody messes with him or bullies him, as this is a constant worry with her," the source told the publication. "She always knows where he is and what he's doing."
A source revealed to People in December 2024 that Melania chose to have Barron reside at the family's Trump Tower in Midtown Manhattan rather than staying in university dormitories at NYU. "[Melania] will do everything she can to make sure Barron does well in school and is socially and mentally adjusted to his life as a college student," the political source confided to People regarding Melania.

Melania herself was raised in Slovenia and remains close to her parents, who moved to America after Melania gained citizenship, allowing the family to reunify. Barron, too, speaks Slovenian and English, after spending a significant amount of time with his mother and grandmother.
And with that - Melania has insisted on privacy for herself and Barron throughout much of his life. While the President's youngest son does make appearances and was credited with helping his dad catch the youth vote, very little is known about his personality or what he's like behind closed doors, mostly due to Melania's insistence.
