Multi-platinum recording artist Alicia Keys just dropped a fresh dose of radical feminist grievance porn on Instagram, sobbing that it’s been “100 years since the Equal Rights Amendment was first introduced” and gasp “women don’t have an explicit guarantee to equal rights under the U.S. Constitution.”
The out-of-touch celebrity then directed her followers to the site peoplesbillofrights250.org to “turn outrage into authorship” and help craft some new “People’s Bill of Rights” for America’s 250th anniversary.
In a video posted to Instagram, Keys said:
“Did you know that it’s been 100 years since the Equal Rights Amendment was first introduced? And now, still, women don’t have an explicit guarantee to equal rights under the U.S. Constitution. Can you believe that? I couldn’t even believe that was real. I mean, women are not asking for special rights, just equal rights.
Let’s turn outrage into authorship. If it’s the 250th celebration of the country, isn’t it time to update some things? What rights or guarantees do you feel all women should have in America? That’s a good question. I’m not here to speak for you. I just want to pass you the mic. So have your say at peoplesbillofrights250.org. Not red, not blue. Just you.
American women already possess every fundamental right guaranteed by the Constitution: free speech, religion, assembly, the right to keep and bear arms, protection against unreasonable searches, due process, equal protection under the law, the right to vote, the right to own property, the right to contract, the right to run for office, and every other protection the Founders and subsequent amendments secured for “We the People.”
The 14th Amendment’s Equal Protection Clause has applied to sex discrimination for decades. The 19th Amendment gave women the vote. Title VII, the Equal Pay Act, and countless other statutes provide additional layers of protection and opportunity. Women in America are among the freest, most educated, and most economically empowered females in human history.
This entire “women don’t have equal rights” routine is a deliberate lie pushed by the radical left to justify rewriting the Constitution and erasing biological sex distinctions under the banner of “equality.”
As The Gateway Pundit reported in January 2025, lame-duck President Joe Biden made a desperate, lawless attempt to unilaterally declare the long-dead Equal Rights Amendment the “28th Amendment” on his way out the door.
The ERA is a radical amendment ostensibly designed to give men and women ‘equality’ under the Constitution, but in reality, it would unleash a series of potentially devastating consequences for America. Two years ago, the Senate GOP introduced an effort to stop the illegitimate ratification of the ERA while outlining these facts.
These include:
• Legalizing abortion on demand.
• Prohibiting schools from allowing separate-sex athletic teams.
• Prohibiting separate prisons for male and female prisoners.
• Prohibiting separate public restrooms for males and females.
• Requiring women to register for the draft.
• Requiring public funding for sex-reassignment surgeries based on the argument that denying coverage would constitute sex discrimination.
• Requiring doctors to provide puberty blockers to children who claim to identify as transgender.
• Prohibiting religious organizations from having single-sex membership.
Do you think the U.S. Constitution should be amended to explicitly guarantee equal rights for women?
