Jasmine Crockett, the race-hustling Congresswoman who lost her Texas Senate bid to Democrat James Talarico, revealed the real reason she lost the race during a black culture festival over the weekend.

At a panel discussion during the Essence Festival in New Orleans on the Fourth of July, Crockett appeared alongside Rep. LaMonica McIver (NJ-10) and Louisiana State Senator Royce Duplessis.

At one point, Crockett went off on her own party and “racist” Republicans for ignoring black people, saying, “I believe that we need to make demands.”

“It is not enough just to be that you’re not the racist Republican but that is what has happened with Black folk is they understood that we couldn’t be a party that actually want to lynch us everyday,” Crockett said in a screaming rant.

“So we sit up there, and we say that we’re just voting for mitigation, but it’s actually time for us to vote for uplift. And unfortunately, so many of these candidates do not care about uplifting us. This is why we have not advanced at the level that we should have at this point.”

She further encouraged black people to travel to DC and “Get in their faces and make them tell you yes, I was elected to represent you, but I don’t care about you.”

Later, Crockett discussed her own race and Democratic Senate Nominee James Talarico’s November race against Republican Ken Paxton, claiming that her strongest asset for Talarico is her own skin color.

“The best thing that I can do for James Talarico isn’t me standing on the stage with him; it is the fact that I endorse five candidates in the runoff who all happen to be black men in the state of Texas, and every single one of them won, and they’re going on to November, meaning that they will pull out more black people to vote,” she said.

She continued, “And don’t worry about my math and how it works in my mind because the reality is that if you can give people more than one thing to vote for, then you have a better chance of getting them out to the polls. And honestly, some people just not gonna be sold on certain people that are running in the state of Texas. So, the best thing that I can do is take down ballot candidates who no one’s ever heard of, and do my best to uplift them and increase the voter participation in a way that we did in Texas.”

Then, Crockett revealed what caused her to lose in the March Primary. “You see, a lot of haters got a lot of things to say about me and my race and how I ran it, but the reality is that there was a lot of racism— not a lot,” she said.

“It was racist. It was a racist race. It is what it is, right? But we live in America, and y’all are celebrating 250, okay? We know what this country is.”

As The Gateway Pundit reported, in another July 4 rant, Crockett demanded that Americans answer “the question of what America owes Black women,” claiming that the answer is “everything.”

“When we think about the sacrifices that Black women have made from the moment that we were stolen from our homelands and transported into this country,” she said after crediting black women for democracy and other unnamed inventions.
