(VIDEO) Trump Cracks Joke After FBI Arrests 5 in Foiled Terror Plot Using Explosive Drones and Snipers at UFC Freedom 250 – Room Bursts into Laughter * The Gateway Pundit * by Jordan Conradson

President Trump was asked whether he had been briefed on the foiled terror plot targeting the UFC Freedom 250 event on the White House lawn during a meeting with the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Tuesday.
President Trump said he hadn’t heard about it but joked, “The attack that I watched were the fighters.”
“He saw it too, by the way,” Trump added, gesturing to Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. “He was sitting back home in his beautiful palace, and he was watching that. And they were as good fights as I’ve ever seen.”
“It was the best fight,” said the UAE leader.
Asked by Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan if he’ll host another fight on the White House lawn, Trump said, “Well, I don’t know. I got away with it because 250 years. Maybe in another 50; maybe at 300.”

This comes after news broke this morning that the FBI had stopped a terror attack on the gathering, using explosive drones to force a mass evacuation and force crowds toward a sniper team. A second wave plotted to storm the White House gates during the chaos, according to Fox News. Five were arrested. The plot reportedly involved 23 people as part of the network.
The attack was reportedly meant to target “capitalist elites,” “billionaires,” and AIPAC-funded politicians, one of the suspects told law enforcement.

FBI Director Kash Patel announced on X that multiple individuals are in custody and their “allegedly planned attacks were stopped cold.”
On June 10, FBI and our law enforcement partners became aware of a potential threat to the UFC America 250 event in Washington, D.C. involving individuals outside of the National Capital Region – and thanks to the rapid action of this FBI, our partners, and the Department of Justice in a multi-state operation, multiple individuals are now in custody and allegedly planned attacks were stopped cold.
While the result represented the best of investigative work, it was also nothing out of the ordinary for this law enforcement team – we are built to detect, respond to, and bring to justice those who threaten the lives of American citizens – particularly during large gatherings like the historic UFC 250 fight. That’s exactly what we did here. I want to thank our great agents and partners, this work remains ongoing and we will continue to update the public as permitted.

Secret Service Director Sean M. Curran said in a statement that the Secret Service “worked closely” with the FBI on the investigation. “In the days leading up to this weekend, our special agents, mission support personnel, and technical security teams worked around the clock to identify those responsible and hold them accountable,” Curran said.
Our most important responsibility is safeguarding the President and every person under Secret Service protection. The U.S. Secret Service worked closely with the FBI throughout this investigation. In the days leading up to this weekend, our special agents, mission support personnel, and technical security teams worked around the clock to identify those responsible and hold them accountable. Equally important to our protective mission is ensuring accountability through the justice system. To that end, our formal comments regarding the specifics of this case will be made through court filings.”
Protective intelligence cases are on the rise, and our teams work tirelessly behind the scenes to investigate threats, identify those responsible and ensure accountability.
