Marco Rubio addresses the media about geopolitical decisions related to Iran, with "Fake News" stamped across the image for emphasis.

What appears to be a highly coordinated foreign influence operation on behalf of Israel is flooding X with recycled old videos of Secretary of State Marco Rubio in an attempt to derail President Donald Trump’s Iran peace deal.

The goal of sharing the old, out-of-context video seems to be to falsely portray Rubio as opposing Trump’s efforts to secure peace with Iran and to sow division among the president’s supporters and within the administration itself.

In a post about the effort on Saturday night, top Trump advisor Alex Bruesewitz highlighted how numerous accounts were reposting the exact same old clip, originally from February, while presenting the comments as if they were brand new and related to the current negotiations.

Bruesewitz warned, “Any ‘influencer’ amplifying those old clips today should not be trusted.”

Others pointed out additional accounts pushing almost identical wording with the clip.

Bruesewitz has documented a clear pattern of suspicious social media activity aligned with Israeli interests around the administration’s memorandum of understanding with Iran, which aims to end hostilities, reopen the Strait of Hormuz, and advance broader talks.

Pro-Israel accounts, many of them very new, have also been spreading deliberate misinformation about the conditional reconstruction and investment fund tied to the deal, implying it will be paid by American taxpayers, which is false. Administration officials, including JD Vance, have clarified that it would be funded by Gulf states and private investors and would only become available if Iran fully complies with strict conditions.

In another Saturday night post, Bruesewitz stated he is now “enemy number one of the pro-war bots and ‘influencers’” simply for backing the president’s commitment to ending the conflict.

Bruesewitz has consistently opposed any foreign government, whether Israel, Qatar, Russia, China, or others, paying influencers or running bot networks to influence policy or public opinion.

He noted that Israel holds what appears to be the largest FARA-registered contract in history with an American right-wing influencer marketing company, reportedly on track to exceed $46 million in a single year. He has demanded full disclosure from any influencer receiving foreign compensation.

As TGP previously reported, former Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale receives millions of dollars each month from Israel to help integrate messaging across Salem Media properties.

A recent report from Times of Israel noted that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was planning to use media figures, including Mark Levin, to try and “get his message to Trump.”

Bruesewitz has been hammering the hawkish pundit to answer questions about the report, writing to him on X, “Are you working with a foreign government to try to influence the American people’s opinion and President Trump’s deal with Iran? Or are you just spreading lies and misinformation because you are returning to your anti-Trump roots?”

When asked about these potential social media operations, a White House insider told The Gateway Pundit, “The White House is tracking online influence campaigns closely, and we strongly disapprove of them.”
