A host on the liberal Daily Show recently mocked support for Los Angeles mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt, ultimately asking “How did this country get so stupid?”

Supporting Pratt is stupid? Is it stupid to want to deal with the city’s massive and out of control homeless problem? Are voters stupid if they want crime to be addressed and for the criminals to go to jail? Are people stupid if they just want to rebuild their homes after the fires that happened almost a year and a half ago? What exactly is the stupid part?

The Daily Show is exactly like the now canceled Colbert show, the Kimmel show, and the Seth Meyers show. They all present themselves as entertainment shows, but their primary purpose is to promote Democrat policies and candidates.

NewsBusters reports:

Kosta Gets Confused By Pratt Support: ‘How Did This Country Get So Stupid?’

Comedy Central’s The Daily Show host of the week, Michael Kosta, unwittingly announced to the world on Wednesday that he lives in a bubble. While discussing former reality show personality Spencer Pratt’s rise in the Los Angeles mayoral primary, Kosta wondered, “How did this country get so stupid?” and concluded it was because nobody reads books anymore. Speaking of books, Kosta later welcomed actress Chase Infiniti to the show to promote her work in the Hulu adaptation of Margaret Atwood’s The Testaments to promote the idea that America is a sexist dystopia.

On Pratt, a dismayed Kosta asked and answered his own question, “A reality TV star? Running for office? Well, I’m sure if we make fun of him enough, he’ll only be in charge for 11 years, tops. How did this country get so stupid? Oh, that’s right, we stopped reading books.”

Here’s the video:

Pratt is likely headed into a runoff election against incumbent Mayor Karen Bass in November and his chances are good.

Bass has been horrible for the city. She should have resigned after the wildfires. It’s not difficult to understand why so many people in Los Angeles want to fire her, unless you’re an out of touch liberal who works for the Daily Show.
