JUST IN: Trump to Spend Weekend at Camp David After Signing Memorandum of Understanding with Iran * The Gateway Pundit * by Jordan Conradson

President Trump will travel to the President’s Camp David retreat in Northern Maryland today after signing the memorandum of understanding to end the war in Iran on Wednesday.
The memorandum declared a 60-day ceasefire and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz as talks continue for a final deal to end the war. Iran has agreed not to pursue nuclear weapons, and the US plans to provide sanctions relief based on Iran’s performance in meeting its commitments.
Trump signed the 14-point agreement on Wednesday while having dinner at the Palace of Versailles with European leaders. Vance and the Iranians also signed the deal electronically.
Trump is currently facing backlash over the deal from a handful of GOP lawmakers and Israeli officials.
He defended the memorandum of understanding in statements on Truth Social this morning.
According to the President’s public schedule, Trump will depart this afternoon for the weekend getaway.

He will return to the White House on Sunday.
This comes after Trump scrapped a trip to Camp David last month, citing “bad weather conditions.” The planned trip followed US “self-defense strikes” in Iran that occurred just weeks before a peace agreement was reached.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, Vice President JD Vance’s scheduled trip to Switzerland to continue talks with the Iranians was also postponed.
The White House cited logistics for the change, saying they’re neither “simple” nor “predictable” with Iran. “We look forward to beginning technical talks as soon as possible,” a White House spokesperson said.
