Toppled Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro was perp walked by federal agents through the DEA’s office in New York City on Saturday evening.

Maduro arrived in New York City on Saturday evening after Delta Force captured him and dragged him out of his bedroom amid military strikes.

According to Reuters, Delta Force created an exact replica of Maduro’s safe house and practiced how they would enter and capture him. The CIA had an asset on the ground in Venezuela who infiltrated Maduro’s inner circle.

The asset monitored Maduro which helped the Army’s Delta Force locate and extract him.

The ousted Venezuelan leader spoke to officials as he was perp walked through the Drug Enforcement Administration headquarters in Chelsea, New York.

“Good night.. Happy New Year!” Maduro said as agents escorted him through the DEA headquarters.

Maduro was indicted on four counts by a federal grand jury in the Southern District of New York.

The grand jury indicted Maduro, his wife, Cilia Flores and four others on four counts: Narco-terrorism conspiracy, cocaine importation conspiracy, possession of machine guns and destructive devices, and conspiracy to possess machine guns and destructive devices.

“Nicolas Maduro Moros, the defendant, now sits atop a corrupt, illegitimate government that, for decades, has leveraged government power to protect and promote illegal activity, including drug trafficking,” the indictment read.

“That drug trafficking has enriched and entrenched Venezuela’s political and military elite, including Minister of the Interior, Justice and Peace Diosado Cabello Rondon, the defendant, and former Minister of the Interior and Justice Ramon Rodriguez Chachin, the defendant,” the charging document read.

President Trump said the US will run Venezuela until there is a peaceful transfer of power.
