After the US military’s jaw-dropping operation in Venezuela that extracted dictator Nicolas Maduro to face justice in Federal Court in New York, heads of state around the world realized Donald J. Trump is not screwing around and means business.

At this point, the Western world is in an upheaval, as the US’s ambitions for the Arctic Island of Greenland have taken a front seat in European worries.

Trump has made it clear that the US will get Greenland ‘whether they [Denmark and EU] like it or not’, and has threatened the use of military force.

The present ‘owners’ of Greenland, the Kingdom of Denmark, have warned that it will ‘shoot first, ask questions later’ to defend it.

As for Europe, many have vowed to sanction the US and even maybe evict its troops from European bases.

Some in NATO are discussing the possibility of backing Denmark with troops against the US.

Starmer has plans for his shrinking military.

In the meantime, failing UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer is taking a more conciliatory path, and considering sending British troops to Greenland as part of a NATO mission to help guard the Arctic for Trump.

Daily Mail reported:

“The Prime Minister is said to share the US President’s view that action must be taken to deter Russia’s threat in the polar region.

[…] But, in a phone call with the US President on Wednesday evening, Sir Keir told Mr. Trump the future of the island should only be a matter for Greenlanders and Denmark.”

While the highly unpopular PM is running his mouth, floating British troops in Ukraine post-peace agreement and now in Greenland, there is just one problem: he has no troops, funds, hardware or political will for that, according to General Shirreff.

British military chiefs are now reportedly drawing up plans for a possible NATO mission on the autonomous Denmark territory.

“A Government source told the newspaper: ‘We share President Trump’s view – Russia’s growing aggression in the High North must be deterred, and Euro-Atlantic security strengthened.

‘NATO discussions on reinforcing security in the region continue, and we would never get ahead of those. But the UK is working with NATO allies to drive efforts to bolster Arctic deterrence and defense.”
