President Donald Trump rang in 2026 with a clear and ambitious New Year’s resolution: “Peace on Earth.”

Speaking to reporters at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida, during his New Year’s Eve celebration, Trump repeated the phrase, “peace on earth, peace on earth,” when asked about his goals for the coming year.

This resolution comes at a pivotal time for the Trump administration, with high-profile visits from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy this week.

Netanyahu was also in attendance at the Mar-a-Lago bash.

During the event, Trump also blasted the Somali fraud in Minnesota.

“We want to take back our country… they stole 18 billion dollars. That’s just what we’re learning about,” he said, pointing to similar issues in states like California, Illinois, and New York as part of a “giant scam.”

“Other than that, we’re gonna have a great day,” Trump said. “We’re gonna get that money back, it’s all coming back.”

While Trump hasn’t often offered public New Year’s resolutions, in 2025, he told the press, “I just want everybody to be happy, healthy, and well.”

Back in 2020, during his first term, Trump playfully kept his resolution under wraps, likening it to a birthday wish that shouldn’t be spoken aloud to ensure it comes true.

“Whatever it is, it’s for our country,” he told reporters at the time.
