Former First Lady Michelle Obama sat down with Jimmy Kimmel on Monday night and revealed that she and her husband, former President Barack Obama, had plans to meet with Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele, the night they were brutally murdered.

During Michelle’s appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel show, she was asked how long she had known the Reiners.

Michelle Obama responded, “We’ve known them for many, many years, we were supposed to be seeing them that night.”

She added, “Let me just say this, unlike some people, Rob and Michele Reiner are some of the most decent courageous people you ever want to know.”

The former First Lady then shifted gears and took a jab at President Trump.

Obama continued, “They are not deranged and crazed. What they have always been are passionate people.”

Her remarks comes after President Trump in a post on Truth Social stated, “Rob Reiner, a tortured and struggling, but once very talented movie director and comedy star, has passed away, together with his wife, Michele, reportedly due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME.”

“We were supposed to be seeing them that night — last night,” Michelle Obama said of Rob and Michele Reiner on Jimmy Kimmel Live! tonight. The Reiners were found slain from apparent knife wounds in their Brentwood home Sunday afternoon. Late last night, the Reiners’ 32-year-old son Nick was arrested by the police as a suspect.

The former president posted Sunday evening that the Obamas were “heartbroken” by the news.

“We’ve known them for many, many years,” the former first lady told Jimmy Kimmel this evening, shaking her head at the thought of the tragedy.

Michelle’s interview comes just hours after the Los Angeles police department announced they arrested Nick Reiner, the son of Rob and Michele for being “responsible” for the death of his parents.

People reported, Nick Reiner is currently being held without bail and his case will go to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office on Tuesday morning.
