ICE agents were involved in a shooting near Baltimore, Maryland, on Wednesday after a driver tried to plow over them.
According to reports, a driver in a white van tried to plow over ICE agents on Wednesday morning as they were conducting a lawful immigration raid.
Federal agents opened fire on the driver. The unidentified driver was wounded and transported to a hospital.
Another person standing near the van was also injured and transported to a hospital.
ABC News reported:
Two people were wounded in a shooting involving Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in Maryland, according to police.
The shooting unfolded at about 10:51 a.m. Wednesday while agents from ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations were “conducting a detail” in Glen Burnie, just outside of Baltimore, Anne Arundel County Police said.
When the agents “approached a white van, that van attempted to run agents over,” police said.
“ICE agents fired at that vehicle,” police said, and then “that vehicle accelerated, coming to rest … in a wooded area” behind houses.
One person in the van was shot and is in the hospital in stable condition, police said.
