Trump will seek reparation from the BBC in court.

The BBC is on the hook for billions.

After getting caught deceptively editing Donald J. Trump’s January 6th 2021 speech, the British Broadcasting Company (BBC) received notice from the US President’s legal team to apologize, retract, and offer compensation – of face a steep lawsuit in the billions.

But the ‘Beeb’ offered a weak, half-baked apology, in which it said it ‘strongly disagrees’ that there exists a basis for any defamation claim.

That being the case, Trump has confirmed that he will sue the BBC for up to $5 billion.

The Telegraph reported:

“Speaking to The Telegraph onboard Air Force One, Mr Trump said he would formally seek damages against the BBC as early as next week for between ’1bn and $5bn’.

‘I think I have to’, he said.”

Trump said he intends to pursue legal action against the corporation, seeking up to $5bn in damages.

“‘They changed the words coming out of my mouth. We’ll sue them for anywhere between $1bn and $5bn probably sometime next week. […] I think I have to do it. They’ve even admitted that they cheated.

‘The people of the UK are very angry about what happened as you can imagine because it shows the BBC is fake news’, Mr Trump continued, saying Sir Keir was ‘very embarrassed’ by the scandal.”
