Everyone handles extreme grief differently.  However, very few people have to face that soul-crushing experience with the eyes of the entire world bearing down on them and cameras capturing every second.

When Turning Point USA (TPUSA) founder and CEO Charlie Kirk was murdered in a politically motivated assassination, the world lost a powerful leader.  But Erica Kirk lost the love of her life, and the two babies she will raise alone lost their adoring father.

She has handled herself with grace and dignity, staying strong for her babies and for the thousands of young people inspired and infused by the work of TPUSA.  She has become a shining beacon of hope and light in a dark and sad time.

But for anger-infused leftists, every moment, even tragedy, is just another opportunity to express their heartless cruelty. Everything is an opportunity to score political points, even if it means going after a young widow forced to mourn with the entire world watching.

I Meme Therefore I Am shared a video on X from Rhonda Berlin, a ballet pianist at Mercyhurst University and Choral Director at Penn State Behrend, who publicly mocked Mrs. Kirk for how she is navigating her crushing grief.

In a condescending tone, Berlin states, “Hi. This message is for Erika Kirk.”

“Erika, I have an acting note for you and I want you to know I work in theater and I do a lot of work with college students and community theater actors. And one of the things that we do is we help them just act in a more convincing way.”

“And I keep seeing clips of you where you’re acting like you’re crying, and your doing (sniffs and daps her eyes) that.”

“And people keep saying, ‘but there’s no tears’ (again mocking Mrs. Kirk with an exaggerated dabbing of the eyes), but you’re blotting them away over here.”

She continues, pointing to the inner corner of her eye, “Your tear ducts are here. So when you’re blotting over here (she points to the outer corner of her eye) you have to blot over here (again pointing to the inner part of her eye and sniffing dramatically).”

“There you go.”

“And that would explain why all that black that you wear eyes is not running down your face because (in a mocking tone) you’re cutting it off right here (returning to the inner corner of the eye.) where it starts instead of what you’re doing is out here.”

“I hope that helps.”
