The court records filed in Attleborough District Court in southeastern Massachusetts link the case to an alleged incident in Mansfield, a suburb about 30 miles south of Boston, on August 8.

The charge is a misdemeanor, according to the paperwork.

Charging documents state the alleged victim had been in a relationship with Barmore.

She told police he became angry about the air conditioning temperature in his bedroom.

The documents say the two also argued over food.

According to court papers, the woman said Barmore grabbed her phone from her hands as she tried to leave the house.

The documents also state that the victim “intended to open the door and scream for help, but Christian grabbed her before she could and threw her to the floor.”

The victim alleged she was thrown down before she could get outside.

She told police Barmore grabbed her by the shirt “in the area of the neck” as she tried to get up.

The documents say he eventually let her go.

The police report included in the filings says Barmore then rushed at the woman.

According to the report, he never touched her when he rushed at her.

The allegation detailed in the paperwork is the basis for the single domestic assault charge.

Barmore is a defensive tackle for the New England Patriots.

The accusation surfaced a day after superstar wide receiver Stefon Diggs appeared in court for a motion hearing over claims he attacked his personal chef on December 2.

Mike Vrabel, Head Coach of the New England Patriots, in a press conference, said the distractions involving two players’ alleged accusations are “not disappointing at all. These are allegations, they are distractions, some are smaller than others, and we are confident we’ll focus on the Dolphins.”

“Those two individuals will be able to handle the ongoing process.”
