MOSCOW has been blitzed by Ukraine’s biggest attack of the war so far – with dramatic clips showing 400 drones raining hell on Vladimir Putin’s doorstep.

Extraordinary footage showed huge plumes of smoke rising over the Russian capital amid the onslaught – part of Volodymyr Zelensky’s endgame blitz.

A critical oil depot in Podolsk and a key logistics hub called the Yuzhnye Vorota Industrial Park – located near Moscow’s Domodedovo airport – were among the targets.

Footage showed one of Ukraine’s drones crashing into a high-rise tower – reportedly leaving at least six people injured.

In the same clip, another UAV struck a nearby apartment building sparking a huge fire.

Plumes of smoke could be seen rising in the background amid the air assault.

Huge infernos raged around Moscow in the latest drone salvo which is part of Kyiv’s 40-day endgame blitz aimed at ending the war.

Ukraine has been targeting key energy hubs in Russia to cripple Putin’s fuel supplies and suffocate the economy.

Moscow’s governor Andrei Vorobyov said: “Overnight, air defence forces and electronic warfare systems repelled a drone attack on Moscow region.

“The main consequences were recorded in Podolsk, Domodedovo, and the Odintsovo district.”

A sprawling warehouse in Koledino belonging to Russian e-commerce store Wildberries was also evacuated amid the drone onslaught.

The same firm suffered £1.5billion in damages following a wave of attacks last weekend.

There were also reports of a power blackout in Russian-occupied Crimea after hits on power plants.

And a fire ignited at a military airfield in Yeisk, Krasnodar, following drone strikes.

In the early hours of Monday, Ukraine also hit three oil depots and a fuel facility in Russia’s Stavropol region.

Zelensky said three Russian shadow fleet tankers – vessels used by Putin to dodge Western sanctions – were also struck in the Black Sea.

It came after Russia unleashed a barrage of deadly ballistic missiles on Ukraine in one of the most intense blitzes of the war so far.

The ferocious assault on Sunday in Kyiv lasted around 40 minutes as swarms of drones pounded the capital, sparking dozens of fires.

At least one person was killed and 16 others wounded after more than 40 explosions rocked five districts of the capital city.

Zelensky said: “Throughout the night, Russia launched one of the most massive ballistic missile attacks on Kyiv.

“The enemy fired more than 40 missiles of various types, most of them targeting the capital, and 120 attack drones.”

Among the targets were civilian homes, office buildings, a metro station and a key logistics hub linked to Ukraine‘s armed forces.

Elsewhere, Russian strikes hit a warehouse and logistics facility near Bucha.

Missiles also struck a rehabilitation centre for children with disabilities in Sumy.

It comes after The Sun revealed that the British Army has war-gamed strikes on Putin’s home city of St Petersburg with new jet-powered drones.

The UAVs have a range of more than 150 miles and are designed to destroy targets such as oil depots, ammunition dumps and military command posts.

A top Army source told us: “A tank can deny Russia ground, a drone can punish them.”
