She made the heartwarming announcement in an Instagram post which included a picture of herself flaunting a baby bump in front of a Christmas tree.
In the caption, she wrote, “The greatest Christmas gift we could ever ask for – a baby girl coming in May 2026.
“My husband and I are thrilled to grow our family and can’t wait to watch our son become a big brother.
“My heart is overflowing with gratitude to God for the blessing of motherhood, which I truly believe is the closest thing to Heaven on Earth.

“I am also extremely grateful to President Trump and our Chief of Staff Susie Wiles for their support, and for fostering a pro-family environment in the White House.
“2026 is going to be a great year and I am so excited to be a girl mom!”
Leavitt included more pictures of her husband Nicholas Riccio, a real estate developer based in New Hampshire, kissing their first son, Niko, 1, on the cheek.
In another picture, little Niko smiled as he clutched a teddy bear wearing a shirt that said “I’m the big brother.”

Since she started working on Trump’s campaign, Leavitt has gotten married and had her first child, but none of the major life updates have slowed her down.
In July 2025, the new mom took only four days of maternity leave before returning to work after the assassination attempt on Trump.
This time around, Leavitt has insisted she won’t be leaving the White House once she welcomes her baby girl, who is expected to be born in May.
Speaking with Fox News, the press secretary said, “Nearly all of my West Wing colleagues have babies and young children, so we all really support one another as we tackle raising our families while working for the greatest president ever.”
