TOM Cruise has completely transformed his appearance in the trailer for his upcoming film.

The preview for the film titled Digger, in which Tom plays the titular character Digger Rockwell, was released on Monday.

The 64-year-old actor underwent a total makeover, transforming his youthful looks into those of an elderly man.

In the teaser, Tom’s character is seen walking shirtless through his luxurious mansion, exposing his large belly and pale skin.

Digger is then shown dressed in a silk pajama set, cradling his fluffy white cat in bed and aggressively barking orders at his staff through a computer screen.

He enhanced his wardrobe in the following scenes, wearing various-colored suits, but their baggy fit was markedly different from Tom’s usual formalwear.

Tom also traded his luscious dark brunette locks for thin white hair that appeared to be balding on the top.

Fans couldn’t believe that the Mission: Impossible star was the same person onscreen and shared their shocked reactions.

One user wrote in the comments of the YouTube video: “The biggest physical transformation Tom Cruise has done since Tropic Thunder.”

A second shared: “Give Cruise the Oscar.”

Meanwhile, a third added: “Tom cruise looks so unrecognizable here it’s amazing.”

Digger is set for release in theaters on October 2.

The satirical comedy film follows Tom (Digger) as he embarks on a mission to save humanity while serving as the world’s most powerful man.

Other cast members include Sandra Hüller, Jesse Plemons, John Goodman, Riz Ahmed, Michael Stuhlbarg, Emma D’Arcy, and Robert John Burk.

The film has been directed by Iñárritu, who has won four Oscars to date.

It comes after last year’s release of the eighth film in the Mission: Impossible franchise, The Final Reckoning.

Tom will soon reprise his role in the third Top Gun film, following the massive success of the 2022 sequel, Top Gun: Maverick.

The original film was released in 1986, with Tom playing the lead character, elite fighter pilot Captain Pete “Maverick” Mitchell.
