Tommy Robinson arrested over alleged assault at St Pancras station

Tommy Robinson has been arrested in connection with an alleged assault at St Pancras station last week.
The 42-year-old, far-Right activist was arrested at Luton airport after landing on a flight from Faro in Portugal.
A British Transport Police spokesman said: “Officers from BTP have tonight [Tuesday] arrested a 42-year-old man from Bedfordshire in connection to an assault at St Pancras station on July 28.
“The arrest took place at Luton airport shortly after 6.30pm, following a notification that the man had boarded an incoming flight from Faro.
“The man had been wanted for questioning after leaving the country to Tenerife in the early hours of Aug 29 following the incident at St Pancras.
“He was arrested on suspicion of GBH [Grievous Bodily Harm] and will now be taken to custody for questioning.”
Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, was wanted for questioning following the incident, which was partly filmed and posted to social media.
British Transport Police initially said they were making “arrest inquiries”, but in an update last Tuesday, said a suspect had boarded a flight and was no longer in the UK.
The alleged assault occurred at St Pancras on July 28, around 8.40pm. Footage posted on social media appeared to show a man at the scene looking agitated, while the victim lay on the floor.
In the clip, the man can be heard saying: “He f------ come at me. He come at me bruv.”
As two members of station staff attend to the man, he approaches an apparent witness and adds: “He come at me bruv, you saw that.”
A spokesman for British Transport Police (BTP) said the victim had suffered serious injuries and had been taken to hospital.
He was later released from hospital and is understood to have given a statement to police.
