Trump aligned group drops six figures on ‘Talafreako’ ad in Texas

A Trump-aligned organization is dropping a new six-figure ad campaign against Texas Democratic Senate candidate James Talarico, who recently flip-flopped on his policy approach to sex transitioning procedures, the Daily Caller has learned.
The 15-second AI-generated ad shows “Talafreako,” as he has been nicknamed, parodying “My Favorite Things” as the character of Maria in The Sound of Music. The ad was first obtained by the Caller. The changed lyrics go: “Boys in white dresses with blue satin sashes. Girls dosed with hormones til they grow mustaches. Changing the gender of all your offspring. These are a few of my favorite things.”
The six-figure ad campaign is funded by Citizens for Sanity (CFS), a conservative non-profit organization that historically funds ads targeting Democratic woke agendas, absent border security and rising crime rates. The non-profit dropped $93 million during the 2022 midterms, funding ads that exposed the climbing number of crimes in Democrat-governed cities.
The “Favorite Things” ad references a viral clip of Talarico from a 2023 interview, in which the Texan candidate admitted that, besides family and friends, he loved “the trans children” the most.
“I love — and I’m just going to say this cause it’s on my mind — I love the trans children who showed up yesterday at the state Capitol to advocate for their humanity,” Talarico told actor Caroline Forbes on “A Superbloom Podcast.”
