President Donald Trump announced Saturday night that U.S. warplanes attacked Iran’s three main nuclear sites in an bid to end the Islamist regime’s nuclear weapons program. The American strikes have ‘completely and totally obliterated’ the facilities, the president said.

“Our objective was the destruction of Iran’s nuclear enrichment capacity and a stop to the nuclear threat posed by the world’s number one state sponsor of terror,” Trump said in a nationally televised address. “Tonight, I can report to the world that the strikes were a spectacular military success.”

“Iran’s key nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated,” the president declared. “…There’s no military in the world that could have done what we did tonight, not even close,”

The president implored Iran to make peace now and warned any retaliatory strike by Iran would be met with a massive U.S. response.
