A Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) trooper arrested a San Antonio man in Val Verde County after finding two illegal immigrants concealed in a trailer loaded with hay bales. The incident unfolded during a routine traffic stop of a Ford F-150 driven by Christopher Ortiz, who was towing the trailer. Authorities became suspicious when Ortiz refused to allow a search of the trailer, prompting the Trooper to escalate the situation.

To assist in the investigation, the Trooper called in a U.S. Border Patrol K-9 unit. The trained dog quickly alerted to the trailer, indicating the presence of something unusual.
