Trump teases speech to the nation on Thursday night
President Donald Trump is set to address the nation later this week, he announced on Monday afternoon.
Trump teased the primetime address on his Truth Social account, writing, “President Trump will be making a Speech to the Nation on Thursday evening, at 9 P.M. Eastern. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”
The president did not share what topic or reason prompted the upcoming address, however, a variety of topics are already making headlines this week, including the passing of Senator Lindsey Graham and the continued escalation in the war in Iran.
On Monday, Trump declared the United States would become the “Guardian of the Hormuz Strait,” announcing a new policy to keep the strategic waterway open while reinstating the “Iranian Blockade.”
