Obama Apparently Has Jumped Aboard The Mamdani Bandwagon

Former President Barack Obama reportedly phoned New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani, a democratic socialist, following Mamdani’s primary victory. (RELATED: One Of Democrats’ Biggest Losers Back With Midterm Advice)
“In a lengthy call in June, Mr. Obama congratulated Mr. Mamdani, offered him advice about governing and discussed the importance of giving people hope in a dark time, according to people with knowledge of the conversation,” The New York Times (NYT) reports.
Other Obamaworld players also have eyes on Mamdani, the NYT claims, such as speechwriter Jon Favreau and former senior adviser Dan Pfeiffer.
Obama’s chief campaign strategist and senior adviser, David Axelrod, even made a trip to Mamdani’s campaign headquarters, the NYT reports.
