New York police searching for members of mob that attacked Spurs fan
The New York Police Department said it is searching for members of a mob who beat a Spurs fan and stole his team jersey.
The Spurs fan, a 39-year-old man from San Antonio, was attacked around 12:17 a.m. on Tuesday in a Midtown Manhattan street, ABC News reported.
The attack came shortly after the San Antonio Spurs defeated the New York Knicks in Game 3 of the NBA Finals.
Police say the man, whose name wasn’t released, was walking back to his hotel when a group of people surrounded him. The NYPD released surveillance photos of five individuals wanted on charges of robbery in the attack.
The NYPD arrested at least 21 people following Tuesday’s game.
