Medical examiner says Mitt Romney’s sister-in-law died by suicide
The sister-in-law of 2012 Republican presidential nominee and former U.S. Sen. Mitt Romney died by suicide in a Southern California city earlier this year, the medical examiner’s office said Tuesday.
Carrie Elizabeth Romney, 64, of Valencia, was found dead after a five-story fall from a parking structure at around 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 10 in the northern Los Angeles County suburb of Santa Clarita, officials said at the time.
The manner of death was ruled suicide, the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner said in a statement Tuesday.
