Man slashed in the neck at Knicks championship parade: NYPD
A 20-year-old man was slashed in the neck with a broken glass bottle near the Knicks ticker-tape celebration in Manhattan on Thursday, police said.
The man was attacked near 1 Centre St. at around 11:50 a.m., according to the NYPD. The victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
The victim allegedly said something inappropriate to a woman, and her boyfriend came to her defense, sources said. It was unclear what was said.
The confrontation turned physical before the victim was slashed with the glass bottle, sources said.
There have been no arrests in the attack.
Police said 10 people were arrested during the parade. The charges were unclear.
