Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei endorsed direct negotiations with the U.S. late Thursday in a statement read by state media, marking his first reaction to the agreement reached between Iran and the U.S. to end hostilities. “It is obvious that the face-to-face negotiations that will be held in the future will not mean accepting the enemy’s opinion,” the supreme leader wrote.
Vice President JD Vance on Thursday issued a surprising rebuke to Israeli officials criticizing the deal as he defended it at a White House press briefing. Vance warned that President Donald Trump “is the only head of state in the entire world who is sympathetic to the nation of Israel at this moment in time.”
