Bahrain said Saturday that Iran launched ballistic missiles and drones toward the kingdom and Kuwait, all of which were intercepted and destroyed by Bahrain’s air defense systems.

Bahrain’s General Command said Iran fired three ballistic missiles and several drones, which were successfully shot down by the Bahrain Defence Force before reaching their targets. The announcement came hours after U.S. Central Command said American forces intercepted Iranian ballistic missiles and drones launched toward Gulf Arab states and the Strait of Hormuz on Friday, while also striking several Iranian coastal surveillance radar sites in response.

The Bahraini military urged residents to exercise caution around any unfamiliar or suspicious objects that may have fallen as a result of the attacks and to report them immediately to authorities. The General Command also condemned the attacks, arguing that the deliberate use of missiles and drones against civilians and private property constitutes a violation of international humanitarian law.

According to CENTCOM, Iran fired seven ballistic missiles toward Kuwait and Bahrain. U.S. forces intercepted six of the missiles, while a seventh failed before reaching its target. The military said there were no reports of injuries to U.S. personnel.
