Hegseth leaves Democrats frustrated after briefing on boat strike

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth left Democrats frustrated after the classified, closed-door briefing on the ongoing Trump administration’s alleged drug-boat strikes in the Caribbean and other actions in the region.
“It was a very unsatisfying briefing. I asked Secretary of Defense Hegseth whether he would let every member of Congress see the unedited videos of the September 2 strikes,” Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) told reporters after the Tuesday briefing on Capitol Hill. “His answer was, ‘We have to study it.’ Well, in my view, they have studied it long enough.”
“Congress ought to be able to see it,” Schumer said. “I told him that every member of Congress, so many members of Congress, Democrat and Republican, have a right to see it, want to see it, and should see it.”
